It is also very important to have a more solid conclusion that wraps up your paper. She also told me to make sure I look at the grading criteria as well.

ENGL205 Francis Marion University American Indian Stories Discussion – Excelsior Writers | excelsiorwriters.com
Excelsior Writers | excelsiorwriters.com

1. This week, you need to read the selections by Booker T. Washington and W. E. B DuBois (who is reacting to Washington). You also need to read the Native American stories by Zitkala Sa, (who also is known as Gertrude Bonnin Simmons). The selections this week have a lot to do with the various cultures in the United States interacting, and these selections are interesting in light of the way our multicultural society has evolved in the years following these early stories. I’ll be interested to hear your reactions to these readings.

2. Post at least two responses to the readings on the discussion board (as usual). I hope you will find that you enjoy posting / discussing more than the bare minimum that is required for the course. It seems to me that the more students write, think, and discuss the readings, the richer their experience is in the course (and the better they do in the course).

3. The midterm exam will become available on Friday of this week, and it will be available for one week. It is a proctored exam, and it is timed for two hours. You will need to know the titles and authors of the selections, to be able to identify characters and incidents in the texts, to recognize important quotes from the selections and be able to explain them (who is talking, what’s the context for the statement or incident, and why is it important). There is also a brief essay on the exam that will ask you to compare or contrast works or to talk about a common theme in several works.

Question: Please upload as a Word document or PDF a concise overview (500 words) of your research interests as related to your participation in the Program(Traveling to Israel for summer studies). Include any relevant information from your background and explain how you think the Program will complement your academic/professional pursuits

Guide to writing the essay; June 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1967 War, a seminal event that showcased Israel’s military prowess, expanded Israel’s boundaries, and led to the occupation of territories inhabited by Palestinians. The 1967 War, also known as the Six Day War, is a critical juncture in the Arab-Israeli conflict in general and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in particular. This course will explore the implications of this event by engaging a multitude of perspectives on the war, its implications, and the future of the conflict.

This 3-credit program offers students the opportunity to spend significant time studying in a region that is experiencing monumental social and political change. Jerusalem, as a religious and political center, serves as the base from which the students will gain a well-rounded understanding of the many issues facing Israel.

The seminar is designed to provide students with insight into Israel as a sovereign and international actor, and to the underlying dynamics of the country’s unique political system, diversified culture, and myriad political, social, economic, and environmental issues. Participants learn first-hand about ongoing efforts to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israel’s security concerns, Arab-Israeli peacemaking, the special relationship between Israel and the United States, and the challenges brought forward by the desert ecology of the region.

Through a combination of site visits and direct interaction with both governmental and non-governmental stakeholders (including academics, think tank scholars, and activists in NGOs), students will gain a deeper understanding of the complex issues and key debates facing Israeli society.

Texas Womans University Big Five Conferences Answers – Excelsior Writers | excelsiorwriters.com
Excelsior Writers | excelsiorwriters.com

  1. Do you agree with the designation of the Autonomy Conferences? The Big Five Conferences having legislation specific to them.
  2. Find a rule (subject) that particularly benefited the Big Five Autonomy Conferences?

Utilitarians argue that since happiness is the end that all human beings seek, (1) action that maximizes human happiness is good and (2) the right action to choose (among options) is that one which contributes the most to total human happiness (or subtracts the least from total happiness).. Makes sense, yes? However, most of us would find the actions of the people of Omelas morally shocking although the actions might be justified as being utilitarian.

Paraphrasing moral philosopher F. M. Kamm*, we could see the Omelas situation as calling for what is called a side-constraint on utilitairianism. A side-constraint is a factor that has priority over producing the greater good. Not causing harm to innocent people may be considered by some (non-strict utilitarians) as a side constraint on utilitarianism. For them, not harming innocents has priority in the sense that it is morally required even if it means not completely maximizing the overall good.

What other side-constraint(s) on consequentialism that you would call for (if any)? In other words, what values do you believe have priority over maximizing the overall happiness for everyone?

MAMP512A Adler School Veterans Recreational Therapy Research Proposal – Excelsior Writers | excelsiorwriters.com
Excelsior Writers | excelsiorwriters.com

Submit the revised research proposal or research paper from MAMP 507, applying your learning in the capstone course and addressing instructor comments on your draft concept paper from MAMP 507.

The research paper attached is 16 pages however it should be revised and shortened if possible.

Instructors comments

In general, the paper outlines the hypothesis that Recreational Therapy can be useful in working with veterans who have a PTSD diagnosis, and cites a number of other studies that have a PTSD connection, not necessarily related to RT. This is an OK start. However, the literature review does not methodically build a logical case for the hypothesis, and requires more focus and structure to do so. I recommend going back and looking at the articles that explain how to write a precis statement, and practice summarizing the articles that you have. Then, do a more precise search for articles that specifically deal with RT, even if veterans are not the target population. this will help you to build a relevant and balanced lit review, and possibly also refine your method for carrying out research. in general, this is good preparation for your capstone project, but I suggest making an advisement appointment with me sooner rather than later to get you pointed in the right direction
