1. President Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was the third President of the United States, from 1801 to 1809. He was one of the “Founding Fathers”, and he was considered the principal author of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. One important thing that President Jefferson did was he wrote a bill establishing the freedom of religion that was enacted in 1786. During the American Revolutionary War, between 1775 to 1783, Thomas Jefferson served in the Virginia legislature and the Continental Congress and was the governor of Virginia. Major political conflict had begun and it created two separate parties, the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans. Jefferson eventually became the leader of the Republicans, who sympathized with the revolutionary cause in France. Jefferson was the Vice President under John Adams between 1797 to 1801. Jefferson ran for the Presidential elections in 1796 but was three votes shy of winning. Jefferson actually reduced the United States’ debt by a third during his presidency. During his second term, he was very involved in making sure the Nation was no interaction in the Napoleonic wars. During his presidency, the United States bought the Louisiana Territory for 15 million from France in 1803, which lead to the exploration by Lewis and Clark. That was a major point in history because it doubled the size of the United States. Even after he was president he did great things, he retired to his home in Monticello and helped found the University of Virginia. Jefferson died at the age of 83 on July 4, 1826, ironically his rival and “fellow signer” of the Declaration of Independence, John Adams, died the same day. Washington as the “Founding Fathers” in the United States, he has a big role for the establishment of the American. During the American revolutionary war, he led the continental army triumphed, and let the United States independence. Also, he released the Declaration of Independence, this is one of the most important documents since the founding in the United States. In 1787, Washington presided over the constitutional convention, and made the constitution of the United States, this constitution still use today. In 1789, he became the first President of the United States. He set up many policy and tradition during his two-successive term, and those are also continuing use to today. At the end of the second term, he volunteered to give up power not seek power.

If America don’t have Washington, any political movements will not achieve their goals. For the formation of the United States, Madison’s contribution is significant, but the contribution of Washington almost is indispensable”.
